YSAN appoints new executives, as Prof Orímóògùnjé and Dr Faleye emerges YSAN new president and vice president


The Yoruba Studies Association of Nigeria (Ẹgbẹ́ Onímọ̀ Èdè Yorùbá),YSAN, Friday, Congratulated the  Newly Appointed  Executives of the Association and pledged support for there success.


This is contained in a statement released by the association in Ibadan, Oyo state capital after YSAN conference and Annual General Meeting held at University of Ibadan yesterday 13th October 2021.


The conference appoints Prof Caleb Ọládélé Orímóògùnjẹ́ of the Department of African and Asian Studies, University of Lagos   as the President, and Dr. Adeọla Adijat Falẹyẹ of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ilé-Ifè  as the Vice President  and other executives of the Association.



The statement reads in part,

 "This is to heartily congratulate Prof Caleb Ọládélé Orímóògùnjẹ́ of the Department of African and Asian Studies, University of Lagos who emerged as the President, and Dr. Adeọla Adijat Falẹyẹ of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ilé-Ifè on her election as the Vice President of the Association at just concluded YSAN conference and Annual General Meeting held at University of Ibadan yesterday 13th October 2021. We also felicitate with the rest of the elected executive members. Ẹ kú oríıre"


The newly elected officers are to pilot  the affairs of the association for the next two years.


YSAN, however, called on members of the Association to support the new executives saying that for the new executives to succeed there must be strong support from members.
