Dr Adéọlá Àbẹ̀kẹ́ Fálẹ́yẹ, others bag NCWS Award

Chief Dr. Adeọla Adijat Abeke Faleye alongside other female professionals from different walks of life, bagged awards at the just concluded 8th inauguration program of the National Council For Women Society. 


In her welcome address, National President of the Society, Hajia Lami Lau urged the new executives to commit themselves to the uplifting of the Society and should always strive to the welfares and better living of the women in the society.

The new inaugurated President of the society, Dr. Mrs. Adéọlá Ayọ̀ọlá enumerated some of the challenges confronting the society while she appealed to government at all levels and the affiliated societies to support the NCWS for the betterment of women and the larger society.


Some of the affiliated societies that had representative at the program include Prison officers Wives Association, Association of Civil Defence Officers' Wives, Nigeria Professional Women Engineers, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, (Women wing), Nigeria Women Journalists, Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) among others.


In her words, Dr. Adéọlá Adijat Àbẹ̀kẹ́ Fálẹ́yẹ, the Yèyé Àṣà of Ìlá - Ọ̀ràngún appreciates the organizers of the programme for their choice to honour her. 


She affirmed the need to support the cause of women, youths and elderly ones through the Adéàbẹ̀kẹ́ Fábọ́lá Educultural Organization (AFECO) as a focus that the Non-governmental Organization had been committed to. Dr Adéọlá Fálẹ́yẹ further stressed the essence of establishing AFECO which is purposefully founded in 2018 to immotalise and appreciate  the roles of her biological mother - Alhaja Sìfáwù Ajíbọ́lá Fábọ́lá  in ensuring that she is educated. 


Yèyé Adéàbẹ̀kẹ́ Fálẹ́yẹ pledged her continuous commitment to the growth, development and empowering of youths and women while partnering with NCWS on a large scale.

Other awardees at the event include  Professor Siyan Oyeweso of the Osun state University UNIOSUN,  Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo from OSBC, Mrs Aderonke Abokede General Manager Osun CSDA, Comrade Micheal Olusesi Ẹbọ́fín, Dr. Mrs Asérónkẹ́ Olúkẹ́mi Ayilara among others.


Also speaking, Pastor Mrs. Obelawo Fatima commended the organizers of the program, imploring them not to rest on their oars.

Resource person at the program who doubles as the Chairman of Network of NGOs, Comr. Ebofin, in his lecture stressed the need for all and sundries to be security conscious as things have fallen apart in the security sector of the country.

MAOS IJESA ZONE GET NEW EXCOS


The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic (MAOS), ijesa zone has elected new officers to oversee the affairs of the association.


The appointment of new executives which took place on Sunday June 12, during  the association monthly meeting in ilesa saw the officers elected into various positions.


The Association former President Comrade Sunday Ojelabi announced the new executives after a successful nominations and adoptions.

Comrade Richard Badejo was elected the Zonal coordinator of the Association, while, Mrs Elizabeth Ogun is the General secretary, Mrs Toyin Komolafe Treasurer,  Comerade Olalekan Fabayo Publicity Secretary, and Mr Seun Fadimu as the Association Welfare officer among others.


Speaking, the newly appointed president comrade Richard Badejo thanked members of the Association for the confidence reposed in him and also pledged to be committed to the ideals of the noble association through sterling performances.


He reaffirmed that the new executiuve will serve the association in fairness at all times and with a commitment to promote the objectives of the Association.



MAOS membership cuts across different graduated sets from the Mass Communication department of the school and it's objective is to foster unity and help each other grow.

Osun NNPP disown Ajadi, says he is an impostor

Leadership and members of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun state has disassociated themselves from one Comrade Olufemi Ajadi, who is parading himself as the presidential aspirant of the party.


In a statement personally signed by Osun NNPP chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, he described Ajadi as an impostor trying to reap where he did not sow.


Odeyemi said "I was surprised reading on the pages of newspaper about one Comrade Olufemi Ajadi, who is parading himself as our party's presidential aspirant.


"What baffled me most was his claim of receiving some group of youths from Oriade and Obokun local governments in Osun State some days ago.


"How on earth will somebody who has no name in our party's register in Osun, let alone known by me as chairman or any member of the party in Oriade and Obokun, be claiming our membership? 


"I wish to state equivocably that we do not know Ajadi in Osun NNPP, he is not one of us, we are not aware of his candidature, he is an impostor trying to take glory where he did not sow.


"Therefore, I am using this medium to warn him and his co-travellers to desist, they should leave Osun out of their mischievous acts. Osun NNPP is one and indivisible, we wont hesitate to take legal actions against them if they persist"

NNPP Debunks Mass Defection Of Members To LP

Against the widespread of news  that some members of the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP in Osun State  has decamp to the Labour Party (LP), a House of Representative candidate of the party for Ifedayo/Boluwaduro/Ila Federal constituency, Hon Olalekan Fabayo has described the development as baseless and pack of lies.


Fabayo stated this is a statement to react to the rumour going around the town that over 500 members of NNPP decamp to the labour party.


He said members of the  New Nigeria People Party NNPP in state under the leadership of Dr Tosin Odeyemi  are committed and loyal to the party, saying nobody  defected from the party saying the rumour is baseless and unfounded, discribing as a mere political propaganda to misinform the public.

2023: Fabayo win NNPP House of Rep ticket.

 


Osun based media practitioner, Hon Olalekan Fabayo has emerged as the candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP, for Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro Federal Constituency in Osun state.


The chairman of the party, Dr Tosin Odeyemi declared Fabayo the winner of the primary election held at the state secretariat in osogbo.


The federal candidates of the party across the nine federal constituencies were declared unopposed.



Speaking after the election, Fabayo appreciate God for giving him the privilege to emerge the party candidate in  the coming general elections for ila federal constituency.

 

The federal house of representative candidate says he is  sure of victory come 2023.

2023: Reject moneybag politics – Fabayo urges youths


 Ahead of the 2023 general elections across the country, an aspirant of the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP to represent Ila federal constituency at the National Assembly, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo has advised youths in his constituency not to mortgage their future.


He contended that money bag politics must be rejected for the desired change to take place in the country.


Speaking with Newsman, shortly after his screening today at the NNPP state secretariat osogbo, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo stressed the need to kick against the idea of money bag politics come  2023 genaral election.


Fabayo said It is not enough for the people to vote for him only on the basis of being a youth saying it’s a question of character, capacity and attitude  required to propel a cutting edge agenda for the development of the constituency.


Comrade Olalekan Fabayo added that godfatherism and money politics will fail in the coming elections saying he is sure of victory because he is  passionate about ila/ifedayo/boluwaduro people and was loved by them.

”Godfatherism will fail in Ila and moneybag politicians will be disappointed in the election,” he said.



He urged electorate across the constituency to go out enmass and register as a member of the party saying NNPP under the leadership of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will rescue the country comes next general election

Hon L.B Ayeni Inaugurate Team Ayeni for Oyetola

Team Ayeni harps on using Governor Oyetola's unique selling points to campaign for his second term bid.



The reelection bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for  a second term in Office received  yet another boost today as a political group "team Ayeni for Oyetola was inaugurated in Ilesa.

Party leaders and members of the ruling all progressives congress, APC in Ijesa South Federal constituency today gathered at the LB Ayeni office in Okesa Ilesa to re-affirm their support for the reelection bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Speaker after speaker took turns to canvass the support of the people for Governor Oyetola ahead of the July 16 Governorship election while also acknowledging the ingenuity of the governor towards transforming the state.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Director General, Ileri Oluwa Campaign Organisation Worldwide, Honorable  Israel Ajibola Famurewa said  Governor Gboyega Oyetola has performed significantly well, hence, the need for him to be reelected for him to consolidate on his performances in the first tenure.

Highlighting some of the achivements of the governor, the Director General IleriOluwa Campaign Organisation said Governor Oyetola is poised to doing more for the people of the state

Honorable Famurewa who stressed that Ijesaland owe it a duty to vote massively for Governor Oyetola maintained that the zone is being adequately represented in the state cabinet.



Convener of the event, Honorable Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni, member representing Ijesa South Federal constituency in the house of representatives while explaining the rationale behind the formation of the group noted that governor Gboyega Oyetola has delivered dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the state including Ijesaland. 

The lawmaker who noted that one good turn of the governor deserves another said it is on the election victory of the governor that every other ambition is premised.



The event was attended by party leaders and member from across the state including some members of the state executive.
