Chief Dr. Adeọla Adijat Abeke Faleye alongside other female professionals from different walks of life, bagged awards at the just concluded 8th inauguration program of the National Council For Women Society.
In her welcome address, National President of the Society, Hajia Lami Lau urged the new executives to commit themselves to the uplifting of the Society and should always strive to the welfares and better living of the women in the society.
The new inaugurated President of the society, Dr. Mrs. Adéọlá Ayọ̀ọlá enumerated some of the challenges confronting the society while she appealed to government at all levels and the affiliated societies to support the NCWS for the betterment of women and the larger society.
Some of the affiliated societies that had representative at the program include Prison officers Wives Association, Association of Civil Defence Officers' Wives, Nigeria Professional Women Engineers, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, (Women wing), Nigeria Women Journalists, Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) among others.
In her words, Dr. Adéọlá Adijat Àbẹ̀kẹ́ Fálẹ́yẹ, the Yèyé Àṣà of Ìlá - Ọ̀ràngún appreciates the organizers of the programme for their choice to honour her.
She affirmed the need to support the cause of women, youths and elderly ones through the Adéàbẹ̀kẹ́ Fábọ́lá Educultural Organization (AFECO) as a focus that the Non-governmental Organization had been committed to. Dr Adéọlá Fálẹ́yẹ further stressed the essence of establishing AFECO which is purposefully founded in 2018 to immotalise and appreciate the roles of her biological mother - Alhaja Sìfáwù Ajíbọ́lá Fábọ́lá in ensuring that she is educated.
Yèyé Adéàbẹ̀kẹ́ Fálẹ́yẹ pledged her continuous commitment to the growth, development and empowering of youths and women while partnering with NCWS on a large scale.
Other awardees at the event include Professor Siyan Oyeweso of the Osun state University UNIOSUN, Mrs Motunrayo Ayegbayo from OSBC, Mrs Aderonke Abokede General Manager Osun CSDA, Comrade Micheal Olusesi Ẹbọ́fín, Dr. Mrs Asérónkẹ́ Olúkẹ́mi Ayilara among others.
Also speaking, Pastor Mrs. Obelawo Fatima commended the organizers of the program, imploring them not to rest on their oars.
Resource person at the program who doubles as the Chairman of Network of NGOs, Comr. Ebofin, in his lecture stressed the need for all and sundries to be security conscious as things have fallen apart in the security sector of the country.
